That is why LASER World of PHOTONICS focuses on biophotonics and the life sciences as well as their applications and has a separate exhibition sector dedicated to this topic in Hall B1.

Using lasers in photovoltaic manufacturing and for new sources of energy opens up a wide range of possibilities. That is because lasers can be focused and have a low thermal-penetration depth on sensitive surfaces, for example.
