| Optofluidics merge optics and fluidics from the micro- to the nanoscale and enable new functionalities. Emerging fields of optofluidic research and applications may be found in the sector of sustainability energy, advanced chip-based sensor technology, and biophotonic handling and analysis in fluid media. The 1st EOS Conference on Optofluidics was a great success, with participation from leaders in the optofluidics community from around the world. This 2nd EOS conference will build on that momentum, involving experts from the industrial and academic research sectors, and explore the latest developments in the field of optofluidics. |
Topics:
- Photonic actuation of microfluidics
- High resolution in-chip lensless microscopy
- Optical and photonic tweezers
- Optofluidic lenses and solar collectors
- Microfluidic lasers
- Fluid-fluid waveguides and microfluidically tuned optical fibers
- High sensitivity biomolecular sensor platforms
- Fluid displays and paper
- Optofluidic photobioreactors and photocatalytic reactors
- Upscaling optofluidic technology
Specific application areas:
- Reconfigurable photonics
- Energy applications of optofluidics
- Novel display technologies
- Biomedical optofluidics
Speakers:
A total of about a dozen keynote and invited speakers will introduce new developments at the 2nd EOS Conference on Optofluidics (EOSOF 2013). The range of topics covers important fields of optofluidics research worldwide.
