Please note that the entrance tickets to LASER World of PHOTONICS and congress tickets for World of Photonics Congress no longer entitle holders to free use of local public transport. Visitors of above mentioned events who use local public transport to get to the events must now buy a travel ticket, at their own expense.

The train station for the S1 and S8 municipal trains is located directly under the Central Area of the Munich Airport. Trains depart for downtown Munich every 10 minutes. You can choose one of the following routes for your trip to the trade-fair center:

Route S8 / U5 / U2 From the airport, take the S8 to "Ostbahnhof" (Munich East). Transfer to the U5 (toward "Neuperlach Süd") and travel to the next station, "Innsbrucker Ring". Then, from the same platform, transfer to the U2 subway line (toward "Messegelände"). Disembark at "Messestadt West" or "Messestadt Ost".  Travel time: approx. 46 min. Route S8 / U2 From the airport, take the S8 to "Hauptbahnhof" (Munich central station). Transfer to the U2 subway line (toward "Messegelände"). Disembark at "Messestadt West" or "Messestadt Ost".  Travel time: approx. 60 min. Route S1 / U2 From the airport, take the S1 to "Feldmoching" or "Hauptbahnhof" (Munich central station). Transfer to the U2 subway line (toward "Messegelände"). Disembark at "Messestadt  West" or "Messestadt Ost".  Travel time: approx. 65 min. Ticket prices: We recommend using a 1-day ticket.
