Coherent has released two new Legend Elite ultrafast amplifiers which now offer specified pulse widths of less than 25 femtoseconds. These are the Legend Elite USX-HE with pulse energies over 2.5 mJ, and the Legend Elite Duo-USX which delivers pulse energies over 5 mJ.

This superior performance is enabled by two unique developments. The new E2-Engine is a regenerative amplifier module providing unmatched energy and efficiency from a highly stable platform. These new amplifiers also employ BandMaxTM technology, a suite of features designed to ensure stable, short pulse operation. Optimal seeding is provided by Coherent’s unique Micra or Mantis oscillators guaranteeing the most stable, wide bandwidth, spectral characteristics.

The Legend Elite USX models offer improved peak power and temporal characteristics for demanding applications such as HHG (High Harmonic Generation), ultrafast spectroscopy, X-ray generation and attosecond physics.
