Luceo provides BER Test Equipment for MergeOptics parallel optical 12 channel X 10 Gbps active optical cable.

MergeOptics decided to use the X-BERT system from test equipment manufacturer Luceo Technologies GmbH for Bit Error Rate testing of the 12 x 10Gbps active optical cable. The system allows for measuring the Bit Errors on each channel independently. Patterns and data rate can be selected individually or correlated. The system is based on Luceos standard 10Gbps E-BERT plug in modules. By cascading the module any channel count can be achieved. Pattern and bit synchronization is done by a new functional module.
