No sooner the economic is booming the companies are
desperately looking after skilled personnel. First of all positions for
specialists remain vacant at the moment. The whole company is suffering, when orders
can’t be won or finished. Therefore – give priority to the search for your
personnel.
Just use the different, available ways of seeking, but
don’t get bogged down.
A continuously search (e.g. in social networks) takes
time and patience and at least only succeeds if there is an appropriate
candidate on the market.
Take a close look at the job specification:
- Is
it realistic or is it possible to go without some attributes?
- Did
you advertise all arguments for your own company to the potential new employee?
Check your internal decision and selection process:
- Do
application documents remain a long time “at the desk” before personal
interviews take place?
- Are
you trying to attract the candidate with all decision-makers during the first
appointment?
- Good
candidates always have more attractive options these days – therefore you
should come to a decision within few days.
Please do not forget, that applicants often only know
global players but rarely attractive small companies. Try to use your homepage
and your booth not only to call the clients attention to your products but also
the applicant’s. You may attract your next employees’ attention via an
advertisement on the Job board of the exhibition. A contact person for the
applicants should be on location at your booth.
